When can I access my unit?
Gate access hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 7 days a week. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
What’s the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The resident manager is available to help you during office hours. Gate hours are when your unit can be accessed. If you require access outside of our standard gate hours, please contact the Manager.
What rental terms are available?
We rent units by the month, so you only pay for the months that you need the space. A tenant that rents in for 6 months or more and pre-pays will receive a 10% discount. You can move your belongings out whenever you want.
Are items insured?
No. Most homeowners or renter’s insurance policies cover your stored items; check your policy.
What items cannot be stored at Storage Cave?
- Food
- Flammable liquids or fuels
- Explosives
- Live animals
- Illegal drugs
- Fertilizer
How do I pay my monthly bill?
You have several options to make your monthly payment. We can automatically charge your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover card. Or you can pay on site to our resident manager with cash or personal check.
Do you accept deliveries?
Yes! If you need us, we can arrange to accept deliveries for you. Contact our resident manager.
What does having an on-site manager mean for me?
An employee of Storage Cave, usually the resident manager, has an apartment on the site as part of the facility. He’s there with help and answers whenever you need him.
Can anybody drive onto the property?
Our facility has an electronic gate system that can only be opened by a security code that is assigned to each individual tenant. The code also allows us to monitor who is entering and exiting the facility.
What is a roll up door?
Roll up doors are standard in our industry. They are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward. You maximize your storage space since the doors don’t take up room.
What is a drive up unit?
A drive up unit is an outside unit, located on the first floor of the facility. You get the ability to load and unload your belongings directly from your vehicle.
How far in advance can I book a reservation?
We will book your reservation 30 days in advance.
What kind of security do you have?
We have perimeter fencing, cameras, computer-controlled entry gate, our resident manager and excellent lighting.
What sizes are available and how do I pick my size?
See our Storage Options page. Sizes range from 5x5 or 25 sq. feet to 10x30 or 300 sq. feet. Our manager is also available to assist you.
What does self-storage cost?
The cost of the unit depends on its size. For specific sizes and rates, please call our manager at 402-339-6125.
Do I need to provide my own lock?
Storage Cave will provide you with a free lock at contract signing. It is yours to keep and take with you when you leave. Or you can buy your own lock.
